$65K – $75K (FULLTIME) (45 HOURS)

The Vine Inn Barossa Community Hotel, which has been a landmark in the Barossa for 170 years and community owned for over 80 years is looking for a Sous chef to start ASAP.

Located in the world-famous Barossa Valley wine region, the Vine Inn is one of the largest hospitality venues in the area, incorporating accommodation, bar, dining, gaming, function/conference and bottle shop facilities.

An outstanding opportunity currently exists for a highly motivated individual to join this high-performing and dedicated kitchen team.
Collaborating with the Head Chef and a supportive management team, this position will play a key role in the continued growth of the Vine Inn’s reputation for delivering excellent food and service.

About the role:

They are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join their award winning team on a full time basis (up to 45 hours per week).
Flexible work arrangements over a 7 day roster can be negotiated, with a focus on promoting good work/life balance.

Tasks and responsibilities include;

Assisting the Head Chef in responsible supervision and guidance of all kitchen staff and assume Head Chef responsibilities in their absence
Ensuring efficient and effective operations of the department
Leading and developing the team through a positive and collaborative example

Qualifications, experience & attributes:

Trade qualifications in certificate 3 (commercial cookery)
Past experience in Sous Chef role is desirable, but not essential
A professional attitude and passion for food
Availability to work over a 7 day roster (including nights and weekends)
