The Penneshaw Hotel, situated on the truly amazing Kangaroo island, is seeking a Sous Chef to join their dynamic team!

Relocating to Penneshaw is a dream for many, offering the ability to work and live in a small, community minded town with so much to offer. Including ample fishing, beautiful beaches, great schooling, local sports, amazing walking trails and so much more.

This is a full-time salaried position with shifts working over a rotating roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidays 40+ hours per week. The ideal candidate will be looking for a long-term role.

The Sous Chef will:

– Assist with leading a small team

– Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards

– Be able to work with a small close-knit management team

– Be responsible for the kitchen when the head chef is away

– Assist the chef in coming up with creative menu ideas / specials.

-Assist with training and motivating the team

-Essential requirements include:

-Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

-Previous experience in a similar role

-Honest and reliable
