Newly renovated hotel in Port Augusta requires Head chef with the willingness and ability to work in a busy kitchen providing consistently & a high quality of food throughout the hotel.
Ian’s Western Hotel provides approx.1400-1600 meal per week, so the ability to be motivated and work in a fast paced environment with good communication skills is essential.
You will be in charge of the day to day operations of the kitchen including menus and function packages to ensure the best outcome for the hotel.
Control of food costs and maintaining training and mentoring of other kitchen staff which will help with the overall running of the kitchen.
The ability to work various shifts including nights, weekends & public holidays is part of the requirement.
Hours to be filled are 40-45 per week with a 60 day trial. Salary will be reviewed after 90 day period.
Casual employment for your partner is also available on the restaurant floor, gaming or bottle shop at approximately 30 hours so this position would suit a traveling couple.
